At Ashbourne Primary, we want all of our pupils to be able to recall times table facts with accuracy and speed.  To support children with developing this skill, we use Times Tables Rock Stars from Year 2 through to Year 6.

Times Table Rock Stars is an online programme for times table practice that is both effective and motivational. At the start of the year, your child will receive their login and password details which will allow them access to games to improve their accuracy and speed of recall and, should they wish, opportunities to compete against their classmates and children around the world.

When it comes to times tables, bursts of daily practise are more effective than spending hours once a week. Please encourage your child to play the game at home to develop a regular habit that will assist their Mathematics, just as daily reading helps propel their reading and writing.

Times Tables Rock Stars can be easily accessed with internet browsers or alternatively with phones and tablets using the Times Table Rock Star app. For internet browsers, visit https://ttrockstars.com/ for apps, visit the App/Play Store.

Whilst at Ashbourne Primary, your child will have the opportunity to gain a TTRS badge to recognise their status as either a Rock Star, Rock Legend or even Rock Hero. These will be awarded during our celebration assembly.
