9 students from across KS2 represented Ashbourne Primary in the Derbyshire Cross-Country Championships on Saturday 6th January 2024. It was a cold, but dry day at the wonderful Bulwell Park in Nottingham. It was a tough and muddy course for students to compete on, but they did so with plenty of energy and determination.
We had success across all age groups with the Y3/4 Boys & Y3/4 Girls winning GOLD team medals!! ππ₯πβοΈπβοΈ
As well as this, we have a FIRST in Ashbourne Primary School history as three of our Year 6 students have been chosen to represent Derbyshire at the UK Cross-Country Championships at Wollaton Hall in March. The three individuals will compete against children from across the United Kingdom!! A truly amazing achievement πππβοΈπβοΈ
